About Me

I often tell others that books are my best friends, and I have to admit that’s pretty close to the truth. The bookshelves in my room are forever filling up until the books start spilling over onto the floor and no amount of reorganization will ever save them, hence the name of my blog. My favorite genre as of late is a broad one, world literature. In taking two world literature classes in university I discovered many of my current and forever favorite authors. I love exploring other cultures through literature. I also enjoy science fiction and fantasy, which includes the occasional paranormal vampire romance novel. Everyone has his or her guilty pleasure books.

Outside of this blog I’m currently a graduate student working towards her teaching license in ESOL and eventually an MEd. I spent last year teaching English in a secondary school in a small town in Thailand and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. My old travel blog and pictures can be found here. In addition to reading I love writing, asian pop music, video games and food. I love getting to know new people so feel free to drop me a comment so we can chat about books or anything else! Below you’ll find links to my LibraryThing profile as well as specific tags.

  1. Hello! Just wanted to say I LOVE your blog, and I just found it by accident on the reader – and I think it’s so great. (Also I love Ursula Le Guin)! I’m just starting book reviews now, but I’m definitely looking forward to your recommendations
